It's fascinating to see what it takes each day, away from our out-of-sight, out-of-mind mentality, to prevent cities and villages from drowning in piles of garbage. The ""Zürich Heat"" tour of the Hagenholz waste-to-energy facility provides information on this subject. Here, up to 700 tons of combustible waste are converted into CO2-neutral heating energy and ecological electricity every day. The waste-to-energy plant produces as much electricity as 46,000 Zurich households consume. We have staged the original site in a spectacular way. The eventful tour shows the gigantic dimensions of the power house, offers surprising insights and follows the path of the trash through the combustion process all the way to usable energy. There are impressive installations and a symphony of surprising sounds to experience. The tours have been led by actors and actresses for several years, with great success with the audience. Anyone who has experienced the waste-to-energy facility is more aware of how to sustainably deal with waste. Güsel is good. But less waste is better.
