One mountain, one message: changing the world from the summit

The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch wants to realize a great idea: The idea that people can live in harmony with nature. Nature gives and man only takes what he needs. With the “Top of Biosphere” visitor attraction on the Brienzer Rothorn, Steiner Sarnen Switzerland has created a unique world of experience that focuses on the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch. The concept combines the majestic nature of the highest point of the biosphere with an in-depth exploration of the topics of sustainability and responsibility for the future. From the valley station to the Brienzer Rothorn, a heart accompanies guests on their journey and creates an emotional connection to nature. At the summit, visitors can explore the challenges and opportunities of the future. A domino game is used to illustrate the interconnectedness of the big picture. Each of the 28 dominoes represents a specific area of the biosphere and illustrates how every action triggers a reaction and thus influences the overall system. At the heart of the visitor experience is the Biosphere Forum, which, after an inspiring cinematic interlude, allows visitors to broaden their horizons in a completely new way. “Top of Biosphere” encourages reflection and action. Even if you have already enjoyed the view from the summit a hundred times, this one time it has something very special, moving and touching about it.
