The Maison Cailler in Broc in the Gruyère region is one of the top attractions of Western Switzerland and a land of milk and honey (and chocolate) for connoisseurs. Even from a distance, the enticing scent of chocolate fills the air, seducing the senses and inviting the guests on an enjoyable tour of the chocolate factory. In a timed show through nine immersive rooms, we tell the story of chocolate in a sensual way supported by multimedia, starting with the Aztecs to the Spanish conqueror Hernàn Cortés and the French Revolution to the founding of Cailler. Visitors experience live how chocolate is made and can taste the finished product right on the spot. After the tour, guests have further options: In the "Atelier du Chocolat" they may be introduced to the art of creating pralines or enjoy a fine drinking chocolate in the café. The store offers chocolate gifts and souvenirs, and suddenly missing children will be found in the themed outdoor playground.
