With this stroke of luck our company was born. The Glasi was the first project of Steiner Sarnen Schweiz. This brandland shows in an exemplary way how history can be told in an emotionally touching, timeless and easily understandable way targeted at a broad audience. The main attraction of the accessible glass factory is the Glasi show "Shaped by Fire". Building on the know-how from the days of the audio-visual show, we invented a new format for the experience. The tour begins in ancient Egypt and ends in the Glasi’s production area where glassware is still made by hand today. Guided by light and sound, visitors walk through the roller coaster of glassmaking history with the highs and lows of the owners and workers. Even after three decades, the story still is still touching. The exhibition "Phenomenal Glass" lets the audience actively discover the properties and effects of the mysterious material sand. The Glasi’s splendid location at the lake invites you to enjoy, and the themed playground completes the experience for the family. Thanks to the successful museum experience, Glasi Hergiswil has become a profitable business and one of the most popular excursion destinations in Switzerland.
