Whatever Veltlina is whispering into your ear
The Loisium is a mixture of museum and brandland, historical wine cellars and current wine pressing technologies. We designed and implemented the tourism attraction near the Wachau region as a multi-layered and entertaining headquarters of Lower Austrian wine. An underground and above-ground attraction show introduces guests to the secrets of wine over an area of around 9,000 square meters. Constant companion is Veltlina, the audio guide narrator and the good soul of wine. We have converted the former Hauerhöfe into a lovingly staged museum of the everyday culture of winegrowers. Tradition and modernity merge into an impressive overall experience. The underground WeinWelt offers a multitude of highlights at 18 stations. The culmination of the hike through the cellar labyrinth is a visit to an atmospheric basilica. In the entrance building, designed by New York star architect Steven Holl, enthusiasts will find an extensive range of wines from the entire region. The best-known wine journalist in America has written enthusiastically about the most beautiful wine experience, and the Austrian State Prize for Tourism has honored the Loisium for its innovative strength. We would like to toast to that: Cheers!
