The Hamelin Museum

One of the jewels among our exhibition projects: In a small museum room of just 65 square meters, we developed a walk-in, mechanical theater on the second floor of the Leisthaus in Hamelin. The well-known legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin is movingly retold with modern interpretations of the figures, music, sounds, colors and light effects. The production in an old mill brings the story to life in six emotional images. The 130 pairs of shoes of the missing children, thousands of noisy and whistling rats and 130 shirts tell the story. A treasure chest squeakily opens. The guests, sitting on flour sacks in the middle of the camp, follow the action spellbound. The saga of the Pied Piper, how the city is freed from the plague, is an imaginative telling of a timeless story that delights children and adults alike. For this wonderful gem of an exhibition, we were happy to dance to the Pied Piper's tune.
