Expo 2015 Kuwait Pavilion

145 countries took part in Expo 2015 in Milan. 21 million people visited the six-month world exhibition. And many of them flocked to the Kuwait country pavilion designed by Steiner Sarnen Switzerland. The theme of the visitors' tour was "Challenge of Nature". In the pavilion we told the story of a country shaped by the sand of the desert and the salt water of the sea. Drinking water, a rare commodity, becomes a precious treasure. When it comes to quality of life in harmony with sustainability, water, agriculture and energy are the biggest challenges for Kuwait at the gateway between the Arab and Asian worlds. Received in the desert, the visitors immersed themselves in the landscapes of the emirate under solar sails and dome projection. In the second room, they experienced the wonder of water. A precious commodity, given that 92 percent of the country is desert. After an animated model of Kuwait, the guests arrived at a souk. The Arab market invited them to sensually experience and enjoy the millennia-old culture of the Middle East. The visit ended in a green garden symbolizing Kuwait's commitment to feeding the world's population, the sustainable management of deserts, and the advancement of society through science and technology. In the evening hours, the sun sails of the pavilion glowed in all imaginable colors. An atmospheric touch of the Orient in the middle of Europe.
